Evie's Drum Den My drum hero JP is a tour de force on this album. The band play with dexterity, finesse, and sensitivity throughout! Favorite track: Old Yeller.

Travis I didn't expect everyone in the band to sound quite like this. Everyone feels like they're holding back until the right moments, and everyone settled on writing more subtly powerful music then the stuff from "After You're Born". It'll take a bit for me to get used to, but I am and continue to be glad I gave it all a chance. I have a good feeling that this material will stay sounding good for the rest of my life...and I'm so glad Dave Vives was a good fit to make an album of material with! Favorite track: Well Done.

California 04:04
It seems so long ago Our seed found its home So fragrant as it grew Red rose of withered bloom I keep it all in my head The walls here have changed Painted with your memories I see your body Your body floating in such reverie I know you’ll come down Oh God don’t come down here with me I keep it all in my head I fall backwards through the madness Greeted with a smile that never fades Because we got this We’re in the only thing that matters This is all a dream I’m still in time to save you Stay away from me If we leave it here we have forever It dies if we leave As I run away from my dream Don’t follow me out to california Won’t you let me stay here With your kisses on my ear Don’t follow me out

I’m sick of all these empty streets Take one and copy paste repeat Something else And my body dries With my mind detached from time I will wait for the night When your smoke it fills my eyes I need something to burn Give me something I got nothing to lose And you got so much to give Oh I’m thinking it’s you If you don’t give me Something else Be everything that I want Be my savior Be everything that I need When I’ve got nothing to give When can I take a pill And feel like I am Something else I need something to burn Give me something I got nothing to lose And you got so much to give You got so much to give You gotta give me Something I can hold on to And my body dries With my mind detached from time I need something to burn Give me something I got nothing to lose And you got so much to give You got so much to give

If we could live off this love Why does it always feel like we’re dying If we could live off this love Why does it always feel like we’re dying If we could die here in love Why do I always fear that you’re lying Please explain We could die here in love Why do I always fear that you’re lying We could die here in love Before love dies did we let it die And if my love’s not good enough Then how did you love me Please explain Tell me why, why does good love die

Lying To Us 03:59
Cigarette burns Smoke rise in a laminar flow She sighs blissfully Unaware we’re about to explode I’ve been lying Thought I could keep this up I’m sorry I’ve been lying There never was a happy ending to this story I’ve been lying to us I don’t believe in love Just lust Don’t you look at me With those eyes all ablaze You should’ve known what this was When we got into it I’ve been lying Thought I could keep this up I’m sorry I’ve been lying There never was a happy ending to this story I’ve been lying to us I don’t believe in love Just lust

Float 04:36
I wanna meet you back in time We could stop this motion No there is no emotion if you don’t move I cannot float up I take in your stare Doubting where we’ve found ourselves Took a million days to compose All the things it took to make this bloom Only took a second to lose ‘Cus everytime I look away It seems our colors all go gray Breaks the illusion of our play Caught in desynchronized ballet I let it slide Took a million days to compose All the things it took to make this bloom Only took a second to lose

Well Done 03:40
Oh I can’t remember how I got here Desert to horizon starts to feel like home Cus I’ve been on the wings of a master plan Now I’ve realized I’ve forgotten what it’s meant to be Fell in a well and I can’t get out Starting to think you pushed me in I can’t remember anything ‘Cus I need to get out This ain’t the way I’m meant to be I need to get out How’d you get so much stronger than I am Who am I again I’m on my knees, begging you please Let me out I’m breathing underground Begging to the shell that’s broken free I’m begging to you Throw me down a rope here If I drown here you die here With me

Old Yeller 05:51
Why should I deny this old dog of mine Always by my side Tell me is it safe to come down from this high? Eyes swimming deep in grey water If I sit and wait, I’m sure they’ll come find me The flood is seeping through the seams I ascend to the attic Drowning the ghost by swimming in static My tainted breath in fire lungs I swear that I don’t feel anything but safe So run your fingers over these hands And tell me a story, I’ll smile if you come close And if you try I’ll listen closely But your voice it just can’t reach me anymore Eyes swimming deep in grey water If i sit and wait I’m sure they’ll come find me The fool is the life for me I'll be alright The echo I wanna hear Always listening I am in control I am obedient I am in control I am obedient

Rosanne 02:11
I'm taking my time staying lonely I’m coming around oh it's over my head If I was to find someone so lonely as I I'd die before I let you go I'm coming around feeling something so strange A skip in my step but I don't know where to go And if a new type of you finds me too it'd be true. I'd die before I let you go
